Adjunct Instructor -History & Social Sciences (Humanities)

The Humanities Department at New York Institute of Technology anticipates openings for part-time (adjunct) instructors in the social sciences, including history, philosophy, and political science.

Historians and philosophers with experience teaching interdisciplinary topics (e.g., technology, environment, sustainability, etc.) are especially welcome.

Openings exist on both the New York City and Long Island campuses. College-level teaching experience required. Experience with Zoom, Canvas, and other classroom or online technologies highly preferred.

Minimum degree completion: MA or MS degree in the relevant field.

Candidates should have prior experience in remote and/or online teaching using an LMS (such as Blackboard or Canvas) for course delivery.

All adjuncts will be expected to participate in orientation, as needed, before the start of the semester.
